Catarina Dias (1979, born in London, lives and works in Lisbon) is an artist whose work embodies the fluidity between word and image, erosion and assemblage, the inner and outer world. Her practice is characterized by its dense yet contemplative nature. The artist incorporates archived words, phrases, and poems from her own lexicon. While these texts may appear to offer a decipherable and readable visual anchor, they further add a sense of unease and disorientation.
