Daniel Nave (Portugal, 1955) graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Lisbon in 1979.In recent years his solo exhibitions have included “Places of War” at Galeria Filomena Soares, Lisbon (2021), a powerful installation combining photographs, drawings, painted and cut plexiglass, and lightboxes all responding to themes of war, ruin and memory.
Nave’s practice is ongoing, and he continues to produce works that dwell in the interstices between image and space, presence and ruin, always attentive to how architectural sensibilities and memory coalesce.
