Pedro Henriques (Portugal, 1985) lives and works in Lisbon. He studied Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. Henriques work occupies an intriguing hybrid space between painting, sculpture and drawing. As such, the works function as ambiguous pictorial objects, ‘portals’ to our imagination and psyche. The artist’s open ended, shape shifting forms move fluidly between abstraction and figuration, liquid and solid, structure and its collapse.
