FONSECA MACEDO – ARTE CONTEMPORÂNEA

The drawings by Vasco Barata from the “beget”* series in ink on paper. These drawings are an attempt to think about nature outside a rational, analytical, or objective logic. These drawings, where scale, context and time are too diffuse, still seem strangely familiar and, at the same time, vaguely threatening.
* “beget” comes from the Proto-Indo-European word “gene” which means “gene”, “give birth” or “beget”.
