In Vicente Blanco‘s work, drawing plays a fundamental role because it allows him to synthesize the image of the real by graphic means. The artist proposes the creation of new languages to think about plural and new realities and a new collective imaginary.
His drawings present a new narrative of elements of the Galician rural world, combined with fictitious characters. The different proportions and scales of the figures that appear in the works, human and/or ghostly and surreal, establish a kind of hypnotic choreography where humour and irony are not exempt.
Questioning a predatory identity of nature, in the scenes we contemplate, we also observe an ambivalent tension.
