Papeleo. Drawing Room Notebooks is a publication of irregular periodicity, opportunistic and and undisciplined, dedicated to international contemporary drawing. Its mission is supporting research and cultural dissemination in this field, both carried out within the specialized fair Drawing Room, which has the intention of becoming an observatory of the drawing practice of current artists.
Papeleo Nº 5. Highligths
The fifth installment of Papeleo magazine, Cuadernos de Drawing Room, entitled Highlights, is presented coinciding with the Madrid edition of Drawing Room. It shows the work of some twenty artists of different nationalities whose creative practices are as powerful as they are varied.
Three international experts collaborate on this issue.

Papeleo Nº 4. Italian Panorama
The Drawing Room programme has lingered over various artistic traditions and contexts such as Chinese landscape painting, Japanese ink, the Buenos Aires scene, or figurative Italian classicism, to which a specific section was devoted at the Madrid edition of 2017. Let us again emphasise the rich and varied practice of contemporary drawing in Italy by devoting entirely to it this issue of Papeleo, created by the Bologna curator Antonio De Falco.
In Papeleo 4 works of sixteen artists are shown: 2501, Daniela Alfarano, Elvio Chiricozzi, Ericailcane, Fabricio Cotognini, Giulia Dall’Olio, Rocco Dubbini, Tamara Ferioli, Aldo Giannotti, Fausto Gilberti, Gilberto Giovagnoli, Eva Marisaldi, Laurina Paperina, Stefano Ricci, Michelangelo Setola and Nicola Toffolini.
In addition, three essential voices are heard. The curator Francesca Holsenn contributes an interesting reflection on drawing as a primitive graphic production of the idea. We recover a text by Francesco Moschini, the general secretary of the Accademia Nazionale San Luca, on the initiative set in motion in 2007 by the Rome institution to collect contemporary drawings. There is also an interview of Andrea Losavio, the gallery owner and curator of the Biennale del Disegno of Rimini, which helps us to understand the recent evolution of Italian drawing.
Trilingual edition: Spanish, Italian and English.
Papeleo Nº 3. Argentina desenha
This thrid issue of Papeleo, Argentina Draws, is dedicated to the drawing scene in Argentina. This issue is completed by an exciting three-voice interview with Eduardo Stupía, the great Argentine artist and theorist, and the rescue of La marca visible (The visible mark), a project shown at Artesantander Art Fair in 2017 made up of six artists from the Balearic Islands: Mònica Fuster, Albert Pinya, Cristòfol Pons, Isabel Servera, Cruz Ugarte and Damià Vives.

Papeleo Nº 1. Dibujo contemporáneo español
The first number, titled Spanish Contemporary Drawing, gathers the works of twenty two spanish artists who have made drawing the central medium of their respective practices, being their contribution recognised as deeply significant to the contemporary drawing scene. The reviews that we dedicate them are referred to their specialized work of the last few years, putting special focus on the works that have been present in the two first editions of Drawing Room, held in Madrid on 2016 and 2017. This way, this first number begins with a look towards the origins of the project and invites the art critic Javier Díaz Guardiola to reminisce with us the artists that we had the opportunity to present to the public of Madrid, thanks to the participation of the best art galleries, both spanish and internationals.
