CÉSAR BARRIO

Spain, 1971

MARTINEZ & AVEZUELA´S GALLERY

César Barrio lives and works in Madrid and Lisbon. He graduated from the University of Navarra with a degree in architecture in 2004. The drawings in the Mesas lunares series are the result of dialogue with the large-format work, establishing itself as a newspaper with its own entity. Its title comes from the appearance of that rest of the drawing that makes them up, and that after many washes gives rise to dreamlike topographies that resemble both marble wells and shadows of mute wings.
