Felipe Rezende
Felipe Rezende (Salvador, 1994) works mainly with painting, drawing and its expansive possibilities, constituting an encounter with urban daily life and menial elements contained therein. Labor and wanderings, the surroundings and its remains, small stories and cases of public dimension serve as material for the construction of visual narratives in a link between fiction and reality. Selected projects include solo exhibitions in Brazil and England, as well as collective exhibitions at Museu de Arte Moderna da Bahia and Museu da Cultura Afrobrasileira, both in Brazil. In 2020 Felipe was one of the three award-winning artists in the 7th edition of the EDP nas Artes Award and in 2022 one of his works from the series “Quem rouba meu sono?” becomes part of the permanent collection of MAM Bahia.
