Fernando Marques Penteado (1995), born in Sao Paulo and now a Brussels-based artist, is best seen roaming the hoards of the overlooks in all the cities where he’s lived, which include Porto and London. From the care to forgotten things comes the labour of the stitch, the embroidery as a typical medium for him, sewing multiple stories and voices. Marques Penteado’s work is both deeply grounded in manual skills and intellectually crafted. His drawings, a constant throughout his long career, reflect his most intimate universe.
