He lives and works in Lisbon. He points out, as defining moments in his artistic development, two readings: Cesário Verde’s poem “Deslumbramentos”, from O Livro de Cesário Verde; and the chapter in Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace that describes the battle of Borodino. Presently, his whole life turns around four words: priolo [Azores bullfinch], filamento [filament], aro [rim] and sinapse-morta [dead-synapsis].
