JOSÉ LOURENÇO
José Lourenço (Portugal, 1975) is one of the best-known artists on the Portuguese art scene. Inspired by architects and creators of the 20th century Modern Movement, Lourenço represents seemingly stripped-down, but incredibly human, domestic environments, detailing the details of everyday life, such as books or flowers abandoned in the middle of the activity, conveying the experience without protagonists. Representations of environments where the view is lost in nature, creating a universe of its own in which it is protected and comforted.
