Marco Moreira
Marco Moreira, from Portugal, lives in A Coruña, Spain. Doctor in Creation and Research in Contemporary Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Vigo. Bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in painting from the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa. He has experience in the areas of Multimedia, Illustration, Animation, Drawing, Photography and Visual Arts, highlighting the Animation Course in drawing completed in 2009 at the CIEAM at the Faculdade de Belas Artes in Lisbon.
He got the scholarship artist at the CREATORS 2018 residency at La Térmica in Málaga, Spain, and the scholarship artist at the residency of the Gas Natural Fenosa Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) in A Coruña and also resident artist at the Viarco Fábrica de Lápis workshops in S. João da Madeira, Portugal, in 2012. He is co-author of the ArtGraf no1 product marketed and produced by this company since 2016.
He is the winning artist of the 2018 Novos Artistas Contest, of the Fundação Bienal de Cerveira, Vila Nova de Cerveira, Portugal and was recently one of the artists selected for acquisition of work from the XVI “Isaac Díaz Pardo” Plastic Arts Contest, Provincial Council of La Coruña, Spain.
