Paulo Brighenti‘s (1968, Lisbon. Portugal) painting detains a singular capacity of being anchored in a particular time. You would say that it should be the time and the space conquered by the modern autonomy of the artist’s object However, if we consider it rigorously, this is not the case nevertheless this may be the origin of its idiosyncratic ballast. The way these paintings repeatedly convoke us to a particular universe, apparitional and crepuscular ends up with superposing its equally powerful net of revelations occultations and sedimentations of the pictorial material on the surface of representation So content finds in form a suppletive quality for its densification.
