Pedro Boese (Mozambique, 1972) lives and works in Berlin. He graduated in painting and engraving at the Fine Arts Maastricht Academy in the Netherlands and continued his studies with a postgraduate degree at the Institute for Art in Context at the Berlin University of Fine Arts. He held the position of “intaglio” (metal) engraving teacher at the Kunsthochschule Weissensee School in Berlin from 2018 to 2019, and there began his coaching career. All of his individual exhibitions include, among others, in Berlin, “Privatformat II” at Novokolorit in 2018 and “Malerei und Fassade” at Deutscher Künstlerbund (with Silke Riechert) in 2015.
He participated in collective exhibitions in Portugal and Germany, such as the “Área de Diálogo” at the Galeria Municipal Banco de Portugal in Leiria in 2019, or “Der Engeltrick in der Abstraktion in Glue” at the Kunstraum Kreuzberg space in Berlin in 2016. His works can be found in several public collections, such as Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, Engravings and Drawings Museum, Germany; Folkwang Essen Museum, Graphic Art Collection, Germany; Kunstmuseum Basel, Engravings and Drawings Museum, Switzerland; Bosch Rexroth AG Collection, Lohr am Main, Germany; Danish Oil & Nature Gas Collection, Copenhagen, Denmark, and also at the Ponte de Sor Arts and Cul­ture Centre, Portugal.
