Pedro Pousada (1970, Lisbon. Portugal), is Director of the College of Arts at the University of Coimbra, coordinator of Contemporary Art in Doctorate and auxiliary professor in the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Coimbra (FCTUC) where he teaches design, modern art, art theory and art history. His current research interests deal with spatial practices of advanced modernist art and contemporary interconnected with the dominance of architecture and which have highlighted the colonization of symbolic and aesthetic by dominant simplified forms. He is a visual artist with extensive experience in the field of drawing and contemporary painting, a member of the Circle of Coimbra Plastic Arts (CAPC) since 2010 and currently a member of his direction.
