In Drawing Room Lisboa 2022, the Foco (the section that illuminates a local art scene through a small representation of its galleries) is dedicated to the capital of Galicia, a historic city and home to an interesting dynamic of contemporary art.

The curatorship is in the hands of Asunta Rodríguez with a new approach: a gallery owner with a long and recognised trajectory takes a look at the work of her colleagues and chooses the artists and the works with them. The selected galleries – in addition to the oldest Galería Trinta – are Metro and Luisa Pita. Each of them shows the work of three artists.

Asunta Rodríguez studied Geography and History at the University of Santiago de Compostela, specialising in Modern and Contemporary Art. She has been the director of Galería Trinta since 1991, with which she has participated in fairs such as Art Chicago, Art Miami, Expoarte México, Art Lima, Este Arte and Arco Madrid, where she received the prize for the best stand in 1995. He has also been a member of the organising committee of Arco and Art Madrid.

He has curated several exhibitions, including “Pamen Pereira. Un solo sabor” Torrente Ballester Centre, Ferrol. 2003; “Vari Caramés. Miraxes” Torrente Ballester Centre, Ferrol. 2003; “Teo Soriano. Elbow stained turquoise blue” Kiosko Alfonso, A Coruña. 2012; “Windows to the unusual” Abanca Foundation, Ferrol. 2016 and, recently, “Facer camiño” travelling exhibition on the Camino de Santiago organised by the Xunta de Galicia and RAGBA.

In 2015 he received the Premio da Cultura Galega awarded by the Xunta de Galicia and since 2016 he is a full member of the Real Academia Gallega de Bellas Artes de Galicia in the section of Experts in the Arts.
