Carsten Fock‘s artistic practice is deeply rooted in drawing, which influences the dynamic energy and gestural quality of his work. In recent years, his style has shifted towards a more serene and introspective form of painting. While the raw intensity remains, it now appears in subtler ways, inviting closer inspection. His work, especially on paper, has gained a sense of balance and focus, retaining its curiosity but with a calmer, more multidimensional perspective. Fock’s pieces continue to explore themes of rebellion, fear, and introspection, as seen in works like “every day is a day (of rebellion)” and “Kosmos der Angst.” A prominent figure in contemporary art, Fock has exhibited internationally, and his recent works from the Vinteren cycle are part of major collections such as the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus, Munich. He currently works between Bamberg, Germany, and Vejby, Denmark.
