José Ramón Ais (1971 Bilbao, Spain). His work explores the emotional ties and the ways in which stories, ideologies, desires and utopias are projected onto nature, developing a reflection and experimentation as regards concepts related to landscape as both a construction and representation. His processes are based on the cultivation, observation and documentation of plants in a territory where garden, studio and set are hybridized, a practice in which photography and image post-production techniques, fieldwork and historical research, coalesce.
