Klaas Vanhee‘s drawings allow us to enter the different worlds that the artist proposes.
They are based on documentary photographs showing things and places that are usually hidden from the public; advertising images of an e-mail box (spam) and the studio where he works surrounded by waste materials and unfinished sculptural pieces. Here the artist reduces the drawings to a single medium, soft pastel on paper: all the spaces he works in, all the media he likes, methodical as in printmaking, colour, form and simple as in painting.
