Rita Gaspar Vieira (Leiria, PT, 1976). PhD in Fine Arts – Drawing, at F.B.A.U.L. (Lisbon, PT); teacher at the School of Arts, University of Coimbra, PT and at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, PT. Researcher as Integrated Member at Techn&Art – Center T., Restoration and Valorization of Arts, I.P.T., and as Collaborating Member at CEIS20/U.C., Center for Interdisciplinary Studies 20th century, U.C.
Specialized in the practice of drawing in relation to the performativity of spaces, as an artist and researcher.
Developing art-based research, the use of water is decisive in the artistic work, by means of the re-signification of common actions and matters, which are object of political questioning.
